Mon Premier Livre de Cuisine en Français invites children aged 6 to 9 to discover French through cooking, conversation and play.
Across ten delicious recipes, children learn useful words and expressions as they measure, mix, bake and taste. Colourful characters guide them through simple conversations, while playful activities encourage them to notice, understand and use the language for themselves.
No previous French is needed. Children can explore the language naturally, at their own pace, while making something delicious along the way.

Why I created
Le Club des Petits Gourmands
I have been teaching French for more than 20 years, and one thing has always mattered to me: languages should be lived, not just learned.
Children remember French when they use it for a real purpose, when they laugh, create, discover and share something with others. As a French teacher, I have always looked for ways to bring the language to life and help children feel confident enough to actually use it.
That is where Le Club des Petits Gourmands began.
Cooking brings together so many things I love about language learning. It is practical, creative, cultural and, most importantly, something families can enjoy together. Through these recipes, children aren't simply learning French words. They are listening, speaking, discovering the French-speaking world and creating something delicious along the way.
I hope this book helps children discover that learning French can be an adventure, and perhaps inspires a lifelong curiosity for languages and cultures.
